Three big architects influence the architecture of the Hotel Castell. Nicolaus Hartmann laid the building blocks in 1912-1913 by designing the distinct tower.

The renovations in 2004-2005 were done by UN Studio Amsterdam (Chesa Chastlatsch, hamam, half of the guest rooms) and the Architecture Office of Ruch St. Moritz (the other half of the guest rooms).

Additional marks were made by the architect Gabrielle Hächler and the artist Pipilotti Rist in 1998 with their “Red Bar” as well as by Tadashi Kawamata with the lightly springy sun terrace of delicate wood, which optimally establishes a relationship with the Rock Water Sauna.
